Austin Chapter PTG Newsletter October 2007
Next Meeting:
Monday, October 1st 7:30 p.m., UT School of Music M3.112 (floor 3M)
During the meeting next Monday night, we will review the tasks involved for taking the
technical portion of the RPT exam. Please bring your own tools. This will be a valuable technical for any Associate members who are contemplating upgrading to RPT status.
We will have a short business meeting, during which the topic of an increase in our
chapter dues will be discussed. Increasing our annual chapter dues from $20 to $30 will help us more easily cover our expenses, including our website and hosting fees.
This proposal will be discussed and voted on. You can vote by proxy, but you have to call me with your vote before the meeting. If you want to vote on the proposed dues
increase and you can't attend the meeting, please contact me ASAP either by e-mail or phone, as the home office needs our decision no later than October 7th. Our
chapter dues, by the way, are among the lowest in the PTG. Please give this matter some consideration and share your thoughts at the meeting, if you can attend.
Upcoming Meeting:
The November 5th meeting will be a report covering the recent TSA, to be held in
Oklahoma City from October 11th through 14th ( http://ptg.org/tsa/ ). I am especially looking forward to the all day class for successfully balancing a grand action given by Bob Marinelli and Chris Solliday.
