Next meeting
Monday, June 1st, 7:30 P.M., UT Butler School of Music, Room M3.112 (mezzanine level 3M)
We will not have our regional vice-president with us as previously hoped, but we will have a special guest: Stephen Hopp
from Midland, TX. Stephen is a member of our chapter and will be in Austin, accompanying students who are entered in the University Interscholastic League competitions. This will be an opportunity for us to meet
him, and for him to actually attend a meeting in person. We'll have a general discussion of issues pertaining to tuning, guided by Stephen's own questions and concerns.
We will also provide an opportunity to discuss some of the proposals that will be addressed at PTG Council, if anyone
would like to do so. You can find the bylaw proposals in the PTG Journal Supplement, which you should have received in the mail, or on the PTG website. Steve Walthall will be our representative at council this

Last Meeting
Many thanks to Bernard Mollberg for hosting our last meeting at his shop. Fifteen of us were there for a wonderful two
hour seminar on hammer and key preparation. It was a beautiful day. Check out a few rough video clips of it on YouTube. Search sewalthall (or click link).
Coming this Summer
There will be no meeting in July because of the National Convention. Typically, we forgo an August meeting and have some
kind of social event instead. We'll be in touch again later in July to see if everyone is interested in doing that.

Please keep Ed and Nancy Guerra in your thoughts and prayers. Ed fell and broke a rib and is now in the rehab hospital
in Round Rock. He's in good spirits, though, amazingly enough, and always loves to hear from his friends and colleagues. If you'd like to call him, his number is 512-244-4519.
