Dear Chapter Members,

First, I wish all of you a Happy New Year, and hope you all had a safe and prosperous holiday season.  For me, it seems that from a few weeks before Thanksgiving and leading up to Christmas, there is a surge for tuning and piano work. I hope that all of you experienced this same business surge.

I’d like to thank Chris Prewett, and Joe Dunn for their services as chapter VP, and Treasurer in 2011. Thank you Tom Seay for continuing as the chapter News Letter Ninja this past.  And thank you Steve Walthall for your efforts as Regional VP with the PTG organization for 2011 - 2012. Thanks also to Bill Cory for allowing us into his home for the forte piano presentation last September.

Additionally, I want to thank all that attended the Christmas party Amy and I hosted at my home on December 17th.  I had a chance to become better acquainted with those who attended.  The food was awesome.   Many attendees brought musical instruments, and we had a great informal jam session.  The music was wonderful.  Thanks to all who made that Christmas party merry. If you were unable to attend, I’m sorry, you missed one heck of a party.

I’ve asked two members to give presentations in March and April, and I’m waiting on confirmation.  I’m also working on a topic for Monday, February 6, and will announce this topic later this week. If any members have a specific topic they’d like to learn more about, or if any members would like to give a presentation, PLEASE let me know at your earliest convenience.

Finally, I wish you all a safe and prosperous 2012, and look forward to seeing you at the upcoming chapter meetings this year.

Respectfully,

Linn Roath,
President, Austin PTG Chapter
