Next meeting - Monday, March 3rd, 7:30 P.M., UT School of Music, Room M3.112 (mezzanine level 3M)
Our next technical presentation will be on rebushing and repinning the action center, with an eye towards taking the
technical test. Tom Seay will demonstrate procedures for rebushing flanges, sizing cloth and selecting the proper center pin. He will also show how to pin the action center in a way that will easily give you the
proper friction. This class will cover wool action centers only, not teflon.
Upcoming meetings
This year's meetings will be held on the first Monday of the month at the same time and place, unless otherwise notified.
April - Bernard Molberg will host us at his shop close to Blanco. (This will be on a Saturday morning, details to
follow.)
May - Bill Cory will give us his presentation on tuning stability, which is the same class he will be presenting at the national convention this June in California. For more information about

June - because of the Annual PTG Technical Institute and Seminar, held June 18 - 22 in Annaheim CA, the Austin Chapter will not
have a meeting.
Congratulations
Congratulations to Jeff Farris for passing his Technical Exam, which he took last week at UT. Jeff did a great job and
passed with flying colors (not black and blue, BTW).
We look forward to more Associates taking their exams in the near future. Contact Steve Walthall for further information

************ IMPORTANT REMINDER ************
As of January 1, 2008, Associates can no longer use the PTG logo in advertising and printed materials, according to the
Home Office. This is another good reason to upgrade to RPT. This is not to say that we don't love our Associates, 'cause we do. So all you Associate members out there, get busy and work hard towards obtaining
your RPT classification. You'll be glad you did.
